Start of July.

The Dean's Peak Wild fire in the Hualapai mountains. 10 miles from where we live in Kingman.  Close to 4000 acres destroyed already.  70 homes evacuated.

This is Flutter.  His little friend is Sitter.  Pat's hummingbird pets.

Visited Yuma on Tuesday.  Stopped here to pick up a date.

Carl is in Awe over his new toy.  Just came in to the dealer, and is waiting for more options to get in and be installed before he brings it home.

For you VROC'ers.  Scotty and Williedog.  A blast from the past.  Red Rock Rally 2005.

July 1st in Kingman.

Our friend Kenny lookin' good with Thelma's purse.

All the Date orchards in Yuma are overloaded with fruit this year.  These babies will be ready to harvest in late August.
Lanny pulled in right at 8 AM. He rode up from Sun City West near Phoenix this morning. Pat had a second breakfast for us.  Kenny and Thelma came over for a short visit and a send off. The adventure has started!

5:30 AM on July 5th.  Getting ready for a trip to the Black Hills on the Harley.  Lanny (Biglefti) will be rolling in around 8, and we'll hit the road North East.

July 5th, 2013.  Lanny and I are ready to leave enroute Deadwood, SD.  Kenny and Thelma came over to see us off.

Over the new bridge at Hoover Dam, now on the North side of Lake Mead.  It's 104 degrees at 10 AM

We decided to by-pass Las Vegas and go through the Lake Mead National Recreational area, all the way up to Overton near I-15.  Hot, but nice ride.

A natural Wash.  Been many a flash flood has roared down here.

Not spectacular, but pretty scenery most of the way.  Better than a big city with hot interstate and lots of traffic

We started out with soaked cool vests and mesh jackets.  Before we go into Mesquite the Mesh had to go.  Just too hot.  Lanny was up dodging Rattlesnakes to get some pictures.

Almost to the destination of the day.  Virgin River Casino in Mesquite. It was 111 degrees when we got there.
