First Deadwood

Independence Rock. A popular land mark and  stop for the immigrants on the Oregon Trail.  The top is  covered with names carved in the rock

Non-covered Wagons.

4 Oxen powered wagon

Lanny walked out to the rock, then clear to the top.  I left him up there and hooked on down the highway. He caught up in about 20 minutes.

We met up with Stewey in Casper.  He was in the Victory Dealer getting a new front tire mounted on his Gold Wing

We stopped in the town of Wright, NV.  Yellow Wings seem to leak oil!

Donna's Cafe in Newcastle.  A low carb wrap with Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and cheese in side.  It was Wonderful!  The big guys had burgers. :-(

Our Fleet.  Poor little Harley.......

Biglefti and Stewey

Main Street Newcastle.  We're only about 54 miles to the motel in Deadwood, and a beautiful ride from here up to the rally site

Skid and Sandy beat us by about an hour.  It poured rain shortly after we got there.  We have Thunderstorms in the forecast every day.

Skid and Stewey in their normal places

Skid narrates into a small recorder, he then uses it when he posts his blogs.  This is the room I'm sharing with Skid and Sandy.  Stewey is visiting.  Nice large room

8 of us paid a buck apiece to ride the trolley for a 30 minute ride around Deadwood

Kevin Costners Casino and Eatery. Sandy, Wendy,  Tighler, Mary, Stewey, and Lanny.  Skid and I were snapping pictures

Second Cobb Salad this week.  This one was twice as expensive, and half as good as the other one :-)

Deadwood hasn't changed much.  I liked it much better before the Casinos came to town several years ago.  It used to be much more authentic and less touristy. Still fun anyway

Some of the old shops are gone, replaces up more upscale ones

Some good music coming out of this one

Beer and Bling.  Sounds about right

Skinny legs

Old and interesting buildings

Lanny checking out the shops

Wild Bill

Downtown Deadwood

Stewey, Mary, their Grand daughter Tighler, and Sandy

Typical Tourists.  Hardly look like big, bad, motorcycle riders :-)

Sandy says, "This thing Stinks!"

Biglefti (the one in the saddle)

The Buffler butting Skid out the door

Harley "Botique" in Deadwood

Moccasins and Ice Cream

A Landmark from "back in the day"

Deadwood water tanks
