WWR5 Banquet & Day after

Sandy, Bucky, and Deb.  This is a little out of order, but I'll leave it here anyway.

Friday morning, a cold rain.  Leaving at 10:30 for a ride on the 1880 Train Ride from Hill City to Keystone, near Mt. Rushmore.

Skid & Sandy's bed. A Blanket from WWR4, and a Kawabear from the raffle last night.

Raining and bold, but 15 bikes and 21 people made the hour ride to the Train Depot.
 Keystone station, bikes are arriving.

Water tower for the Steam Train

The snack bar is in an old Rail Road car.  Most of us had a snack before boarding the train.

Most of the picture takers wanted an open car, so we all got into one.  Once there, you couldn't move.  It got VERY cold in both directions. If I had it to do over, I'd have been a warm car with a soft seat :-)

Bucky breaking the rules.  NO body parts outside the train.  I think maybe she wasn't the only one :-)

A meadow.  The train ride was fun (but cold),  The scenery was nice, but not what I expected.  The company made it worth the money we spent to ride the train.

Jamey T. & Trouble.  I think Trouble is resting up from last night :-)

Looked like a lot of people boarded, but there were plenty of empty seats.

 Waterfall

 Bucky's back

 Horse. er..Maybe a Mule.

 Trees and water

 The Engine

 Bucky and Lucky Al

Since it was raining, Al chose to ride in the back of my pickup :-)

Inside Keven Costner's bar in Deadwood.  It's like a museum. Well, actually it IS a museum.  This was sort of "The Last Supper" of the Rally

No flower pictures yet, so snapped this beautiful Colorado State Flower, a Columbine, on the way back up the hill to the Motel.

Lilac was my Dad's favorite flower, and this part of the country is FULL of them!  They are at their peak right now, and you can smell them as you walk along.

The Teri Vaquero & John Voyager in line for the "Twistie" ride.

Yvette sitting on her bike waiting for the Thundering Herd to move out.

My old NoClassEak.  Lots of memories here.  Sold it to Scorpion~ originally, it's now owned by Ryan Martinson who lives in Des Moines, IA.

Lanny (Biglefti) and Mr. VSP.

Dr. Gregory Frazier rides up on his KLR 650.  More about him later.....

Dr. Greg was the guest speaking at the Banquet.  VERY interesting traveler.

Six Pack Jack, Don (selling raffle tickets) and Sandy

Raffle tickets were sold by arms length.  The guys with the longest arms got the most tickets.  Not very fair, but some people like to do it this way :-)

Our guest speaker, internationally known Motorcycle Traveler and Photo Journalist, Dr. Gregory Frazier.

Teri Conrad, editor of Accelerate magazine and ROK, with Dr. Greg.

Stewey is back there feeding the parking meter at the Hampton Inn where we had the banquet.  Was nice to have the truck there, when we left the banquet it was pouring rain, with many near lightning strikes and very loud Thunder!

Our Speaker rides in on his "Adventure Touring" bike.
Joe & Christy, and Melanie.  Joe & Christy are the Grandparents of the child the Jamey T. & Melanie chose to receive the money raised at the rally for donations and raffle ticket sales.  Joe gave a very touching speech about their Grandson.  He's 2 years old, and just got home from the hospital for the first time in his life a few days ago.  He still has a long way to go.

It's getting hard to get all the names in here now..and the ride to the Train trip is getting ready to leave.  So, I'll finish the comments up later.  WiFi is scarce as "hen's teeth" here in the Black Hills :-)

We couldn't have had a more interesting speaker.  Dr. Gregory kept us laughing, but had some good information.

Jamey T, Dr. Greg, and Melanie

Not exactly sure what all was behind this tiny little shirt, but it got a good laugh. :-)
