April 7th, Texas

Bikini, Texas

Overlook on top of an old train tunnel that goes through this mountain

Nice Fence

Eric, Dave, Lanny and I rode out to the Willow Loop this morning.  Harry's was closed.  This is where the picutre Skid sometimes uses for his Avitar was taken.  With an Armadillo.

A proud Owner

Lots of vroc'ers have met Harry. Cool guy.

Eric's Pearl Yellow Harley

We were disappointed in the vegetation.  Leaves are still tiny, everything is brown, and there were very few flowers anywhere

There are a lot of these sturdy white flowered weeds
Lanny, Dave, and Eric.  The scenery was pretty even if it wasn't as nice as it usually is

Will have to come back next year just to see if there is an improvement

The hill used to be covered with Yuccas, with huge white flowers in bloom,  Only a few small ones now

The stream behind Lanny did have a few minnows in it.  Used to be rushing water

Line 'o bikes

They are pretty in the sunshine

Decided to ride to Stonewall for lunch in honor of our vroc friend.. Stonewall.

The Cafe we found with the GPS is no longer there, so we have to make some other choices
We settled on Lindigs Cafe in Stonewall.  It was all right.

Here's one for Gord

Updated my Luckenbach picture.  People are always asking why I'm never in a picture, well, here's 3 of them!

Under the old Live Oak Tree in Luckenbach
Found a kitty to pet

She sort of has the run of the place

Lots of goats here in the Hill Country
Luckenbach officially has a population of 3

A nice gated home on a ride we were on.  Lanny wanted to check it out.  There were several large deer in the front yard, jumped the fence and ran off when he walked up to the gate

School Teachers house in Grape Town

The land was donated for this school in 1882.  By 1984, with all volenteer labor this is the way it looked.  One teacher, 7 grades in the one room.  It ran continually from 1884 until 1949!  A total of 28 school teachers worked her during that time.

Some of these Texas goats are a little weird

Grandpa D and Stewey dodging pine cones, branches, dirt and dust.  Thunder storm is on us. They are headed across the street for some Mexican food

Just strating to rain.  Had fun getting the covers on, the wind is blowing pretty hard

This trash can came flying through the air and landed in the parking lot

In the mood for a Margarita, Mal and Yvette are braving the storm to get across the street!  We have several people here now.  I was "meeting and greeting" without my camera.  Went to get it and the storm hit. So, we'll be taking pictures of people tomorrow.
