August 2019

Our porch in Yuma

Dave and Romy...August visit to "Experience the Heat".  I think they did:-)

After a very warm ride to the Pacific Ocean and back through El Centro, they decided it was time to load up and head back to Cool Canada.

I pulled in for gas, but it was a little stale

Rode Rolling Thunder up to Chloride this morning.  Good breakfast here.

Sure enjoy this mining town.  Never quite became a Ghost Town.

This still runs.  They use it in the annual parade

Peach Springs, on the Rez.  A nice place to eat..also a hotel

Lots has changed in and around Hackberry Store in the last few years.  But it's still a fun place to stop.

Redd and I eating in Taco's Ranchito.  This is a single order of Chili Rellanos, Ala Carte.  Cheap and very good!

Our inside weather monitor in the Yuma house

Rode the Vulcan S up to the top of the Hualapai mountains.  Nice and cooler up there

Another trip to Chloride. This time in my truck

The Roy Purcell rock murals

Got a little lost trying to find the right road, but did get there.

Kingman Turquoise has been popular for many years.  One of the few active mines in the World

The show room has many examples of the rocks that come out of the ground here. This is just a few examples, you'd get bored if I posted all the pictures I took

Inside the public bathroom. A turquoise wall.

The Gas n Grub at Truxton.  Rode with Ed, Carl, and Craig for them to buy lottery tickets.  I had coffee.  Rode the Honda on this trip.

Our little Helix at the Farmers Market in Kingman.  This will be the Yuma bike this Winter

Need your pet Groomed?

A nice Saguaro near HALT, the No Kill Rescue where Pat Volunteers

Just sitting in the Desert

Nice little bike

Redd drove up for a short visit.  He's having a lite breakfast

Next to our street is the Mohave Community College.  This cars show was on the grounds there today

There were a couple hundred beautiful street rods.  I like the Rat Rods the best.

This competition Jeep is owned and driven by a local lady/
