September 8, 2017 Missouri Hick BBQ & last Dinner

We took the long way to Cuba, MO.  Several ride groups today, all different different directions.

Our destination.  Recommended by Jim and Katie, and Mark Hicks.

Lanny programmed "adventurous rides" into his new GPS, and led us here through some very pretty Country

Route 66 doesn't capitalize on the Mother Road as much as we do in Arizona

We did enjoy lunch

Katie bought a shirt

All you can eat ribs on Sundays.  I bet some of these big locals can put the hurt on a bunch of ribs

Some VROC folks have stayed here a couple of times.  Wagon Wheel Motel

A note was painted on the bottom with a website to send a picture to,  But, it was down with a magic marker and was smeared too bad to read

Returning on more backroads.  Lots of churches and cemeteries

Richwoods

Old town, still in operation

I led for a while on the way home

Peoples yards look like parks around here

Old school.  Still in use

Happiness is Skid and Sandy in my rear view mirror.
Setting up the band at the Defiance Roadhouse

Dinner started at 6 PM.  We had a good turn out

Like so many small, OLD, towns in Eastern Missouri, Defiance is very interesting

Watchman and Liz

The last meal location

We're in Wine Country.  30 some mile trip out here.  Beautiful country side.

Groups of 8 or larger could not get separate checks, and 18% was added to the bill. So, we were all groups of 6. And I imagine she got more than 18% anyway

Jim and Katie had some HUGE onion rings, and chicken wings too.
Last pictures from WWR.  A great job by Copperhead and Flash.  You guys did a fantastic job!  Excellent rides, and some very interesting attractions.  Was a good location.  We move on to Branson, MO from here before the next Reunion in Eureka Springs, AR next week.
