Morning ride. Our first stop was here in the City of Beaver. A one lane bridge not far out of Eureka Springs |
A branch of Beaver Lake. Nice reflections |
Ready to ride |
A nice little park over there |
The other side of the bridge. Calm water |
We're all on the Suspension Bridge |
Been here when it was a restaurant. A cafe. A deli. A General Store. Now it's an antique shop, but not sure if it's open. |
Beaver Dam over look. |
Took some mighty big Beavers to build this Dam |
Angie, if you remember, when you were 12 or 13, you and I camped out over on this island. |
Down River |
The steeds |
We visited to Town of Pea Ridge. Near the Civil War Battlefield. |
There was a college on this site for 102 years. I think it said it started in 1874 |
Nice torpedo |
A large display of Soldiers from the Civil war up to recent. Every war is represented, even the one in 1812 |
Bell tower |
A routine visit. It comes close to disappearing almost every year in floods, but the War Eagle Mill is still here |
The bridge is closed. They are doing extensive work on it |
Lots of scaffolding |
The Old Mill Wheel |
This worker was very knowledgeable about the Mill and the Flooding |
These are some of the high water lines. It only takes them about 3 hours to clean out the lower floor for a flood. |
Upstairs is the Beanery |
This field is used for Festivals, Craft shows, and all sorts of Entertainment |
Watchman and Liz roll in. Work seem to interfere with play sometimes, but they got here. |
Downtown Eureka Springs |
Jazz Festival going on |
Music over a spring |
The stage in Basin Park |
Palace Hotel and Spa has been here for 116 years |
Crescent Hotel |
Carnegie Library of Carroll county |
All kinds of Chile items in here |
Billiard Parlor and Hotel |
Tom and Denise just rolled in. His new Beemer |
