Texas trip Day 3

Mason, TX.  All the small towns have a square out here, The town does business around it.  Nicer than a Mall

Lanny just put on his rain coat.  There are sprinkles starting

A HOT time in the old town tonight!

Our room is good.  Plenty of room, huge bathroom and dressing room. Good motel.

Our first ride of the rally. Went with Debbie, Vickie and Kay went to the Wild seed farm.  You'll get tired of flower pictures, but that's what we came here for.  Will use moderate restraint, but during the next 4 days, will probably be posting a few posey pictures.  Of course, Lanny found something that needed fixing.

Fence and Red Poppys

All Native plants grow here

A surprise! The couple on the right here used to own Kwik Kamp Trailers. Vickie (center with hat) and I used to work for them.  They closed the business 18 years ago, and strangely, all met up unexpectedly here in the Hill Country today.

The gift shop is huge.

Nice selection of sizes, shapes and colors sitting around in different areas.

A field of Bluebonnets

During the next few days, most of the flower pics will be out in nature.

Garden Kitty

Motorcycle windmill

A Troll bridge (for small Trolls)

Niagara Falls, Texas style

Insect repellant

More red poppys. I'm going to save the Bluebonnets for another day

They had crackers and samples of several different kinds of dips and jams in the gift shop. This was one of the best.  It's going back to Arizona!

All the areas are very well done

A few Blue Bonnets

If you have been looking at my blogs, the similar picture has been posted for about the last 20 years

For 25 years these lady's have been friends with Pat and I.

The back bar in Luchenbach

Lanny, ordering a sasparilla

Stuff

This is one of the "pickin'" tables.  People sit here an pick and sing.  There has been 987,634 beers served to this table.

In Awwww.

Been here awhile

Outside stage

Hat store

It's always good to travel with nurses, in case you stub your toe or something

A Gold Wing?

This Armadillo actually made it across the highway!

Under the Spreading Live Oak tree

A band was just winding down.  Another will take it's place

VROC bricks.  Oldest seems to be 1998.  I've been to most of the HCR events here during the last 17 years

He'll be here next weekend.  Oh, Darn, we'll be gone....

What we rode out on today

Big Cow

At Mamacitas Mexican Restaurant.  Waiting for out table.  Lanny is having a Shiner with Red Bull :-)

The whole crew so far.  The rally actually doesn't start until tomorrow. Cheryl (Wild Rose) and Donna (Blondy) just got here, in time for Dinner.  John (Grandpa D) is our organizer

The food was good, but a different style than what I'm used to in Arizona.
These were all pictures from my phone today. Tomorrow, will use a camera, which I forgot to charge up today.
