Bob & Ronda visit

We had a nice evening in Coos Bay.  Visited with Karen Preston.  This morning we drove to Salem, OR.  Then a drive in the Country.  We're with Bob & Ronda.

There are more than 20 Winery's in this part of Oregon.  The harvest is immanent.  The fruit is tested every day for Sugar and Ph levels.  The picking is done by hand.  Pinot Noir is a popular grape up here, but there are all kinds.

A Vineyard Rest Area

It's a beautiful area

The first Winery we stopped at was having a "Pickers Party". You needed to be a member of an association to enter, so we went on to another one.  This is Cherry Hill.

Ronda, Bob, Pat, Karen & Preston.  Our "Gang"

Need a job?

All the Winery's have gift shops

Wine tours are fun, even if you don't drink the stuff :-)

The Little White Church in the Vineyard

Thick and heavy in the Arbor

We liked Orchard Heights the best.  The had some miss matched labels on some of the bottles, so they were on sale.  We bought some for a buck a bottle!

We Agree

There were several flavors of this excellent jelly, we enjoyed the tasting!  Bought a jar of the hottest...

Ronda and Karen checking out the "girl stuff"

Too late today, but would like to try this another time.

The youngest one gets to ride in the back seat!

We're in McMinville, OR.  A busy College town, Very interesting and fun downtown
