Kay, Vickie and Debbie |
Inside Fuddrucker's |
Highway 76, The Strip, is 3 or 4 miles long West of Branson. I took a few pictures from the bike. Could have taken a LOT more :-) |
Dolly's place |
Vickie and Debbie's Dad is about my age. We both like this TV Station |
They film here, and also have shows inside. tt's the old Ray Steven's Theater |
One of the many new roads in Branson. This wan't here when Pat and I first started coming to the tiny little city in the Ozarks |
In those days, you couldn't get food after about 8 PM, and it was a dry county. Things change |
A hew HUGE church down there |
Many new shows and attractions. Some of the old familiar ones are still there |
You can climb to the top and have ice cream |
The Duttons are in Chasai's old Grapevine Theater |
We remember when this way built. In the early 80's or late 70's. Was the hottest new show in town |
Mickey's place |
Jim Staford has been here a long time. Very funny man |
Air plane parking |
Looks like that building was in an earth quake |
We first saw this great show in the Yuma Historic Theater. They sing as well as the Texas Tenors, but aren't as pretty -) |
They sailed the Titanic here, moored on Table Rock Lake until they hauled it up here to the Strip |
Mount Rushmore |
King Kong playing around |
The Baldknobbers and Presleys were twof the orginal shows here |
What a surpris! The Grand Palace is empty and For Sale |
Another of many shows |
Not sure who's in this theater now |
Clothing store |
Used to be a good buffet in there, and a miniature golf course |
I think this is one of the last shots |
I did stop for a quick Burger on the way out of town |
Was Dick Clark's place. Still a Legends show |
A real mixture of food aromas just driving down the strip |
Interesting stuff |
That big tank if full of Ozark Moonshine |
Ate at the Farmhouse earlier in the week |
Getting ready to jump off Hwy 76 and head South of Hwy 65 toward Eureka Springs |
Friday evening. Smelling the Hotsauce BBQ in it's final stage of readiness |
Cassie busy with a big camera |
Mitch was one of the helpers. Scott had some first class folks help with the preparations |
Anxious, but patiently waiting |
Sandy is telling Margo how to lay out the food :-) Well, maybe not. |
Nice chair |
Tom Miller and Lanny. A very nice surprise to have Tom show up just a few minutes ago. He rode in from Kentucky |
JR is still selling Raffle Tickets. I think they raised $1300 and some bucks for a local charity. Not sure about that number, but think it's close. I'll edit this if I'm very far off. |
Since I'm planning an early morning departure, the Burgie is all loaded. Was the perfect bike to have here this week, much fun on the curvy roads |
Han is checking out Stewey's 100 ounce mug |
Skid, Deb, and Sandy getting ready for the group picture |
Looking up at Stewey for directions |
Of course Taz needs to be in the picture with Scott and Margo |
Badger and Zmean1. Friends and neighbors. |
Joan and Teri just rode in. This is John's new F6B Honda. Just like a Gold wing, but more sporty. Beautiful bike! |
John is showing some of the features. Good to see him and Teri again. |
Debbie, Kay, Vickie, Candi and Bob |
Tom put in a lot of miles to get there today |
Bassman and Biglefti |
Teri (or Flo) and John |
The line has opened! |
A Lot of food! |
Melt in your mouth Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket and all the trimmings |
Tom and Bill (Southern Draw) |
The desserts. Terimasu (Italian Wedding Cak) and Orange cheesecake, with candied orange slices on top |
Hard to see Stewey.. |
After the dinner, it was time for the raffle. Altogether a very fine Rally. Thank you Condi and JR for all the efforts. |
