AJ and Biglefti visit!

After visiting on line for more than 10 years, we finally met AJ in person today!  This is about what we expected when he rode up.  Didn't disappoint us!

Off topic.  New mural painted on the wall in Frederico's. New Mexican cafe near us in Kingman.  Just liked the picture.

Mark (AJ) and Lanny (Biglefti) showed up in WWR shirts!  I'm sort of on a high, like when you ride away from a vroc rally!  We had a very good afternoon.  Visited, looked around Kingman some, and had a good lunch.  It was GREAT finally meeting AJ in person!

Mark thinks some 18" Apes would make this a rideable bike :-)

Mark's new "Pony" car.  I could get real used to having something like this in the drive way permenantly!  It's a beauty!

Too busy eating and visiting to remember a food picture until we were finished eating.  Oh well, next time.  For such a big guy, Mark ate a light meal.  I think he was just impressing us as the Gentleman he is.  We didn't bother trying to impress him much, Lanny ate as usual :-)

This motel has been on Route 66 since the 40's.  Recently remodeled and a mural that goes from Chicago to Santa Monica.  Very nice paint job.  Couple of tourists here trying to check ini.

Love it when something is restored on Route 66.  Too many rotting away and closing.

Nice Paint

Took this for the Holbrook Chapter of VROC

Slammer probably flew out of here in WW2.  There was a large training field here in Kingman.  It's a museum now, having closed in 1945.

OK, too many pics of the same place, but it's really cool.  Check the glass bricks in the caboose.  Very popular in the 50's.

The Highway becomes part of the sign.

AJ with his very pretty car. Glad the guys stayed until time to get home by dark.  I have a feeling we'll be getting together again sometime soon.

Roush intake and exhaust system. Snarls like a wounded Tiger! (well, something like that)  Anyway, it's not real loud, but a very impressive exhaust note.  Sounds like it's saying "catch me if you can"

Always good to see our good friend Lanny.  He's ready to jump on the Wing and fly back to Phoenix.  An exceptionally fine afternoon!
