The gallery between the lobby and the Restaurant in the Kachina Lodge

Lanny, Sandy, Jim and Slammer

A structural member carved into a totem, the restaurant architect designed it to look somewhat like the inside of a KIVA

Like everywhere in Taos, artwork abounds

Some for display, most for sale

Pueblo

Money Changers in the Temple

They are keeping VERY busy taking care of the peoples needs and also being the liaison for the Motel

Tom Just rode in from Kentucy. 880 miles yesterday, and an easy 400 this morning.  Tom is young and tough :-)

Just before I snapped this, a lady came running out of McDonalds telling me I couldn't take pictures.  After I finished, I asked why, She said it was to protect customers privacy,  I told her I wouldn't take any customer pictures, and snapped away.

Selling Ceegars

Shopping around the Plaza

Smell the chocolate!

It was quiet in most of the stores

We did wander through Kokopelli's store.  Lots of beautiful things inside.

Seems like Art Galleries are the most popular stores. There are many of them.

Cars and tourists ruin the scenery

5 window Chevy truck

We spent a very enjoyable and informative hour or so inside this house and court yard.  this is the actual house where Kit Carson lived with his 3rd and last wife, And 10 kids. 7 of his, 3 adopted.

Hanging flowers all around the town sqare.

Back at the Kachina Lodge, the Thunder clouds are rolling.  We has a few light showers in the evening

This is a large place,  Used to be a Best Western Convention Center.  This is just one of the sections.

Joe (Malachi)

Slots bought this bike new.  Then I owned it for awhile.  Now Didsbury Dave has it. He's added some nice things.  He and Romy rode down from Airdrie, Alberta

Dave and Romy each ride their own bikes

Joe is passing around snacks before dinner

Donald!  VSP is wearing shorts!  (longs?)

Been awhile since we've seen this pretty face at a function.  Now that Jack and Barb are retired, we hope to see them more often,

Nite Lite. Good to see Howard

And Fly!  First met him 16 years ago at the VROC 2000 rally in Colorado.  He's switch from the real stuff to the Root kind.

The Lodge provided us with a buffett meal for the Meet and Greet.

These beautiful desserts were made and provided by Sharon Barnes, Our own VROC member.  they were beautiful. And delicious!

The chocolate was going fast!

The entertainment was this Flamenco Dancer on the piano

Puff, puff, puff those cigarettes!  I remember when a vast majority of folks smoked, but there are very few now.

Donald has a new smart phone.   But he still keeps his flip phone in his pocket in case he needs to make a call. :-)
