Continuing on to Taos

We had a nice BBQ dinner. Then stopped at a McDonald's in Albuquerque.  This was my strawberry sunday

Up early.  road a few miles up Hwy 25, then got on Hwy 4.  It was a beautiful ride all morning.  We stopped a lot of times.

A field house.  Used in the hot summers, these were places near working fields for families to live in.

Oven

Gift shop

We switched bike for about 10 miles.  Lanny said he felt like Susan when she jumped on the .25 Harley ride in a Yuma Restaurant.

It did feel good to be back on a Wing.

Following the Jemez River

Some tough guys

One of our many stops this morning

Mid 80's.  Perfect riding temperature

Bar and Grill

Nice sign

Serving Breakfat

We would have liked to eat here, but were too full from an early breakfast

Lanny had enough.  He's getting back on his bike

The church.  Wall were plastered with something white. Covered with pictures.  The choir loft in the background

This is real, not a reproduction

Was a large worship center

Catholic Church.   Sunday morning, and no cars there

Soda Dam.  A hot springs

I climbed up pretty close

Warm water

Lanny had been down to the stream

Very pretty

Water oozing out of the ground

So far, so good

Of course, Lanny had to go exploring

All Indians. (no Cowboys)

Battle Ship

Hieroglyphs

Gravel in the Cauldron

Volcano

Before we got this fat, we were stopped coming into Los Alamos for a Security check.  We drove in through the Lab area to get into town

Most of the restaurants we tried were closed. This place was all right. Expensive. Very dry burger.  But it was cool inside.

Came out of the restaurant to find this.

That's a trail.  We're close to Santa Fe.  So Lanny thinks this is the Santa Fe Trail

I doubt if some of those early pioneers on the trail would have traded their mules for one of these

A Rock

Sherm and Nash at the Best Western in Holbrook. We spent the night right across the street.  Neither of us know ther other was anywhere near.  We also met up with Cranky here at our motel.  Small world.
