Solvang trip day 2

We had a nice ride through the Orange groves and other Southern California Agriculture farms to the City of Fillmore.  This the the back yard of James and Cat Siegelaar.

Kasey from Washington joined Lanny and I for a rally kick off breakfast that Cat prepared

This smelled soooo good!

Chorizo and eggs, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, fresh chopped Pico de Gallo.  Several home made jams and jellies and good rich coffee and orange juice.  What a meal!
This house has been threatened by fires and land slides.  It's stood the test

Time to dig in!

A ride up the busy Coast Highway to Santa Barbara, the inland and up on Highway 154 inland to Chumash Lake.  We had rain for about 10 miles.  And heavy fog.  Miserable riding.  I had to follow Lanny's tail lights, I couldn't see with my one good eye.

Between Buellton and Solvang. This lady is laying an egg

Her man is watching

She gets up and he checks out the fresh egg

We were here
From outside the motel room.  This is what big bad bikers do at a rally.  WiFi is a must/

a
We'll miss Howard and Linda and their family. And Slots.  And other regulars that won't be here this year. The pool looks inviting, but it's only 80 degrees. Too cold to go swimming!

Our home for the next 4 nights
Kasey is getting a soak after a long ride down here from Puyallup, WA

James is recovering from a very serious accident.  He's come a long way in a month. Sue is lending a leg so he can elevate his.

Don VSP.  A MAC guy, he bought a new laptop because it was cheap.  Now he LOVES Windows!

Ray, James and Cat (our hosts), Sue, Kasey, Lanny (Biglefti), Don VSP,  and Cranky. Wes was in his room.  There will be more coming in tomorrow.
