Solvang Day 3

For anyone new to blogs, when the pictures seem to run out, it you click on "older posts", they will continue for awhile.  You need to keep clicking in that box if you want to see more.  During a rally like this, I keep adding to the post as the day goes on.  To see the newer pictures, you need to scroll down through the ones you may have seen to get to the newer ones.  Just the way Blogger works :-)
Thanks for looking!  Sherm

Lanny and Don enjoying the breakfast that the motel provides

Looks about right!

VSP says, "I'll take one of those...and one of those...and.......

Don's mother told him that smoking would stunt his growth. She was wrong, he made it all the way up to 5'2".

Been around for a long time

Buy a bucket of butter cookies?

James has been bike shopping.  He's checking out what it feels like to sit on a Wing

Of Course, we are all giving our opinions

He was being nice, but I'm pretty sure he likes the Victory Cross Country better. :-)

Thursday morning.  A special opening of the motorcycle museum, just for us

Everyone looking for a shady place to wait for the door to open

One of my personal favorites. This Crocker was built the same year I was born.  It's in better condition....

Driven by a rotary engine inside the front wheel. Jay Leno has one like this, and has ridden this one

Every bike in here has some special history.  Since I"ve been to this museum several times, and have lots of pictures, I was going to limit myself to only 5 today.  But it's too hard.

This doesn't count as a motorcycle picture, it's of the VROC people across the room

I know you can't read the captions that most of the bikes have. VERY interesting history

One of 10

I did want to include this

Pre-WW2 BMW.  This was the first bike to win the Isle of Man that wasn't a British made bike.  It has a supercharger on it.

Cold Springs Tavern.  This used to be an old Stage Stop

We all had a good lunch

The place is full of antiques

Charcoal Tavern Burger, with onion rings

Kasey wants to know how old you have to be before you can have one of these/

Cachuma Lake.  It's very low this year

19 month old Yorkiepoo.  She was such a sweetie.  Weighs about 3.5 pounds.  I'd take this dog home in a minute!  But the owners were pretty attached to her :-)

Back at the hotel, James Siegelaar, our rally coordinator, is checking out the hot tub.
Our seats in the Casino Theater.  Going to hear a Tribute to The Highwaymen.

Famous picture above the bike.  This is THE bike in that picture

4 cyclinder 250 Gran Prix bike.  Tiny little pistons!

Not to bad for being built in 1940

VROC parking only

Prior to the Band coming on

This was Waylon.  Willie and Johnny hadn't come out yet.  Found out I wasn't suppose to take pictures, so this is the last one I took
