Lynda Vista and Gila Bend

Every Tuesday from now to the end of March the park has coffee and donuts in the clubhouse.

Val is our Social Director.  There are some new people here.  She says if they don't like her announcements, there's the door :-)

So we don't forget, This was the gas price on November 6, 2013

Redd's little garden.  He's harvested dozens of figs from this tree he planted a couple years ago.

A famous place to eat in Gila Bend, AZ.  This place is now on some commercial on national TV.

One of the older signs

Welcome to Gila Bend. We made this trip today to pick up our friend Marlys.  Her niece brought her here from Phoenix this morning. She lives in Montana, but has been staying with her son in Houston, TX for awhile.

Indian pots....probably from China

Mostly made in Mexico

A yard with a lot of personality

Interesting young man from Portland, OR.  He just completed a ride to Cabo San Lucas, and the tip of the Baja.   He encountered no bike or People problems.  He was waved through all the check points the police have down there.  Although dirty, his bike is is good mechanical shape.  Last night he spent the night with a friend in Phonix. Some neighorhood kids were climbing on it and knocked it over in the drive way.  Broke a rear turn signal and scratched up the saddle bag.  3500 miles on bad roads without the bike going down...what a way to end a trip :-)  He wasn't too upset about it.  Actually, he stopped here to buy some souveniors for some reletives he is going to stop and see in Yuma.  He didn't have room to carry them very far, but it's not to late. And only a hundred miles away.  He's working his way back to Oregon.  He had some real insteresting stories to tell too, wish I'd had more time to visit with him.
