21 September..WWR people

Atlantic Ocean!  Eastern Shore of Virginia.
1st gas stop

We went around 300 miles round trip.  I like the stops much better than the riding in traffic

Southern Draw, Yvette, Mal, our leader,  Craig Lewis.  Craig did a great job of leading

Yvette usually rides her own bike, a beautiful Drifter.  But, this trip, she's riding behind Joe

Bassman's Wing, and Laura.  As usual, on her phone :-)

They also were at Eureka Springs.  As  were Skid and Sandy,  Lucky Al, Mal and Yvette, Grandpa D, ..any others?

Atlantic Ocean.  It's backwards from my side of the World

The Ladies day out in ES.  Not sure how this got in here, but will leave it

Trouble with my picture files, so some will be out of order.  Really doesn't make much difference :-)

Menu from our excellent lunch stop

The night before....or the night after.  Slammer, Skid, Nickels, and Julie

Getting directions

Bridge over Chesapeake Bay.  The bridge and tunnel cost $12 one way, or $17 round trip

Bikes behind me on the bridge

Over the head shot

Strange to see nothing but blue on the scree

Viewing stop just before entering the tunnel

Will finish more later....too tired to continue now

Skid shooting a boat we thought was Canadian..but turned out it wasn't

Al playing "dualing cameras"

Yvette reading and taking pics

Checking out the boats and birds

I think Julie needs to lose some weight! :-)

We spent about 30 minutes here.  The viewing place where the bridge stops and the tunnel starts

Fine looking Canadians

Stonewall will be sorry he wasn't here.  He's probably out looking at more Battlefields :-)

The group.  Some of us jumped on this truck bed for a picture, but got hollered at to get off.  We did.  After the picture :-)

It was a nice rest stop

Back on the bridge

It was a beautiful day

We crossed over and under Chesapeake Bay

On Chincoteague Island

The Eastern Shores of Virginia

We passed a lot of older buildings, but, for the most part, they were neat and clean

Seems like high tide and a wind storm would put the road under water

Mostly surrounded by blue water

These Mallards were hanging around looking for scraps at our lunch spot

We arrived unanounced, so the ONE waitress had to call in help to get us served. They did a good job

Most everyone was in compliance, or was able to meet the requirements

The regular lunch croud inside.  We moved to the outside seating on the pier

We're on a floating dock, so the gang plank moved when you enter the seating area

Good thing our group was all small people, or we may have sunk the dock

Small party boat tied up by where we ate.  In Oregon, we call them "pukers"

Skld. Six-Pack and Badger

Craig Lewis (our leader), his brother, and Lucky Al.  Don't know how this got on my camera, i obviously didn't take it....

The added waitress lived close by, didn't take her long to get here to help

Basket of condoms..er..condiments

Al playing with his phone while waiting for service

There were 30 some people waiting to order

Gave us time to visit, but sort of took the main part of our "site-seeing" time away

The Georgia group had their own dock.  Looks like Randy is taking a little nap

I'd never heard of it, but some of the guys were happy to find this kind of beer.  That's my standard "water with lemon"  drink

Rainman wakes up

While waiting, we all went out on the dock for a one line group picture.  The waitress took it with someones camera.  It's probably posted in someones album already.

Cheap B. is walking very carefully

Weather perfect,colorful place to eat
Badger was first to get food.  Doesn't take long to prepare raw oysters

Ya Gotta be tough to eat these things raw

J
Julie ordered a seafood combo.  Needless to say, she couldn't eat it all

Portion size was good on all the meals

Smelling the ocean made me feel like I was back on the Pacific

The Little Harley did a real nice job at these 2 rallies

Have spent thousands of miles traveling with these two fine folks

Not real easy taking pictures without a cruise control, but got in a few from the bike

Lucky Al managed to get back to the motel.  We had one possible wrong location issue in some heavy traffic, but he was able to rally and get back to the rally :-)

Heading under Chesapeake Bay

Chad, a relatively new vroc member and nice guy.  His wife wasn't feeling well, and didn't get to travel with him.  This wave is for her.

Jim likes huge cigars.  That just ain't right!

This game, and the peanut gallery, was going all during the rally

Wrongturn and KT just rolled in for a one night visit. Malachi must have said something funny

April should have won a prize for the prettiest finger and toe nails!

An unusual McDonalds.

There were a lot of items in the store that the "Pickers" would like to have.  I asked the manager, and she said most of them are authentic restored or just in perfectly new condition

Evening group waiting for the fire pit to get going so they can move over there

Ponies on Chincoteague Island.  They just looked pretty much like any others to me, but these are more famous than the wild Mustangs we still have in Arizona
