Fall coming to Kingman

JR, a vroc'er from Kingman, KS, visits Kingman, AZ. He's a long haul trucker that was passing through. Checking out the new garage project. The lift will go in place on Monday, waiting for the leveling material in the pit to cure.

A cool 66 degrees today, but warming up as the week goes on, up into the high 80's. A perfect day for a Route 66 cruise.

Clouds in the gas cap cover.

Hackberry Store signs and things

The guy that used this had a serious case of kidney stones!

Facility for the handicapped. Others just go behind the building.

Used to use this oil in the 50's. I don't think it was better than the others, but loved the purple color of it.

This couple were tour guides for an RV caravan, with all French Speaking people. They spoke enough English to get by. They do a caravan every May and October, usually 10 to 20 units. She wanted her picture on the Harley.

That Indian sits out there in all kinds of weather. Never complains about anything much.

Carl Anderson on his KLR. Ed & Carl each have 3 bikes. These 650 Kaws, 1500 Vulcan Classics, and Harley Road Glides. The best of all worlds :-)

That's Ed up there. To his right is Red Lake, a dry lake bed, great for dirt bike riding.

There are dozens of people that live out in the desert around Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon. This is where some of them get their mail.

Rogers Market. Ed and Carl come here every week to buy their Lottery Tickets. The owners are a very nice couple, huge NASCAR fans! A nice ride of 50 some miles one way. The big city of Meadview is about 10 miles East of here.

Cattle getting ready to cross the road. 2 of them were just on the pavement when Ed blew by and sent them back a little. I saw them and grabbed the camera from my pocket and got this shot. Click on the picture to see the horns :-)

These clouds are headed for higher mountains before they dump their moisture. We're almost back to Kingman here. A Roadrunner crossed in front of me, but I couldn't get the camera out in time to get a picture of it.

The reason for the ride. The "Boys" pick up 14 every week. 7 for each, and they open them one a day. They are a little ahead, but not much :-)
