14 Oct 2011.  Leaving Kingman for an adventure.

The scenery on 1-40 is spectacular!

Climbing the hill just West of Kingman

One of the White Cliffs of the Cerbat Mountains

The turn off to Old Town

This Beale Street isn't in Memphis, but it is where the Redneck BBQ is located, and a main street in Old Town

FOUND FOOD! My new favorite place.  The Pink Flamingo must have done it.

Inside the Mystic Munchie.  Cozy place, with WiFi.  The Young lady is the waitress and daughter of the owner.

A Tropical Oasis in the Desert.  So tacky, it's wonderful.

The kitchen is in the front of the Cafe.  The mother is owner and cook, the daughter also prepares some food and waits tables.  The Dad and husband is the bus boy, greeter, and glad hander.

They have been in business over 2 years now, and the popularity is growing.  There is a close up of this poster down the line here.

The owner and boss!  She definitely has the personality to make this business a success

A few books to look at while you wait.  Everything is fresh made and healthy.  Mexican, American, and Vegetarian selections.  No diet soda, because it isn't good for you!

Ed and Carl aren't happy about missing the diet coke.  They settled for water with a slice of lemon in it.

Sounds like good advise to me.

The Southwest wrap with sweet potato fries

A little of everything in the broiler burger.  Even bean sprouts.  Ed's had cheese included, but since he doesn't eat cheese, they removed it and cooked him a new piece of meat.  Excellent service.

The kind where the juice runs down to your wrists

My wrap had black beans, corn, peppers, crushed tortilla chips, fresh spinish, and some seasoning that was out of this world!  Wrapped in a large tortilla made of natural grains and not fried.

A small Assembly of God church outside of Dolan Springs.  I thought we'd missed a turn and crossed the Border!

We're on the Pierce Ferry Road here, Headed to the West End of the Grand Canyon

Entering Mead City. Ed and Carl rode the Vulcans today.  They alternate between the 3 bikes they each own.

Cactus outside of Roger's Market.  They made the weekly trip to buy Lottery Tickets

The ambient air temperature gauge is the one on the lower left, next to the radio.  It's hovering on 100 degrees.  Pleasant weather for the middle of October.  It was only 92 on our back patio when we got back to Kingman.  Another good day.  Will definitely return to the Mystic Munchie, need to try out one of their breakfasts.  It's about 50 miles from the house.
