Trip to Kingman

The KOA in Willits, CA.  Right behind us the rails for the "Skunk Train" run, they carry passengers from Willits to Fort Bragg out on the Coast.  A nice campground, but very dusty, and, expensive!

Don't forget, if you'd like to see any picture a little larger, just click on it. Then, to get back to the blog, click on the back arrow at the upper left of the screen.  When you run out of pictures, you can click on "older posts" at the bottom right.

Last night in Coos Bay. Kay Caton, and Karen & Preston, join us for dinner at Bennetti's.

Last time to wake up in this house. We'll be rolling in a few minutes. The new owner will be moving in this weekend. Today is August 17, 2011.

It's damp, foggy and chilly out this morning. A perfect day to be heading for the Sunshine of Arizona.

A beach just south of Orick, CA. Still in and out of the fog. This used to be a popular place for RV'er and campers to spend the night, but the State decided they didn't want anyone to stop here any more. The end of an era.

A lot of time and parts to make this Vulcan look like a Harley!

Ocean front property for the night. This is Johnny's Marina. It's been in our Daughter-in-laws family for many years. RV park, rentals, Store, Marine gas station, boat storage and lots of full time residents. A fun place to stay!

Judy with her small Poodle Kofie. Judy and her mother have the place we used to stay in when we Wintered over in Kingman.

Pat and Judy visit in the "California Sunshire" Bring your coat!

Salmon and bottom fishing out of here. Johnny used to run a party boat for several years, but the regulations on Sport fishing make it too hard on business, so they had to stop that part of the business.

Julie won't be needing this sweater much longer. It was a cold morning here in King Salmon.

Poster of a 47' Coast Guard boat "getting air". I was on a panel that help plan the construction of this class of Motor Life Boat. It replaced the old 44' self-righting boats.
