| A chilly morning on the Golden Gate Bridge. Richard (Pat's brother) rode down to Petaluma to meet the Sublow's, then we headed down the Hwy 101 to San Francisco. A thick Marine Layer covered us most of the way to San Jose. That's Howard and Linda on the Voyager in front, |

| Pulling into jest's drive we see some familiar vehicles..A Toyota that says, "I know MO", hmmm, that may be VSP's. And a decal he picked up at the Kick Stand Lodge. And those 2 Kawasaki's look a lot like they may belong to James and Cat Siegelaar! |

| What a pair! Don (VSP) and Bill (Cranky) Don is VSP because he was born that way, Cranky is skinny because he rides hundreds of miles a month on his bicycle. He was a heavy man when he was diagnosed with Type ll Diabetes. He beat the odds. Lots of cranking, and a good diet, and he's symptom free. Way to go, Bill! |

This picture is for Stewey and Skid. I finally found some White Diamonds, but it doesn't work like I was told by these 2 guys. Instead, it made my wheel stink!
Pat's brother Richard, Howard (Nitelite) and I had a drizzly morning ride out to the Coast. Beautiful Occidental Road through Redwoods so tall, it was a deep, dark, forest. And wet. They absorb the fog, then drip it on the road.
Not "Brand Conscience". We are riding a Harley Ultra, a Honda Wing, and a
Kawasaki Voyager.
Occidental is a very interesting little town. I was here yesterday, but didn't have a camera. Today we missed the Farmers market, and a lot of fun looking vendors. But, we had nice fog and drizzle.

Richard has lived near here most of his life. In fact, just yesterday he had his large crane truck doing a job about a mile from this spot. Howard lives about 30 miles from here, so he's not stranger to the area.
A grocery and specialty store. Old, well worn, hardwood floors inside. Very cool place.

Howard has been keeping his restaurant a secret! Linda was inside doing Hostess duties :-)
The scooter is a Puggio, 2 front wheels, about 14 inches apart. 500cc. These are nice bikes, and you don't need a side stand!

About the only thing Howard likes a good as Jelly Bellys is Salt Water Taffy. So, we stop for some.

Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Birds" was filmed here in Bodega and Bodega Bay years ago. This is one of the buildings that was used in the movie. There are several around town. They used to be well marked, but now, unless you know where they are, you probably won't find them.

The Tides is a popular, and very good, Seafood Restauant in Bodega Bay.

The overcast sky is just starting to clear up, and it's after noon now.
Another location filmed in "The Birds". I can't guarentee these locations were really the correct ones, but it's what the locals remember.
We rode up a hill to check out a different church that we were told was in the movie.
A General Store. Although still a lot of tourists, it's not as popular as the Bodega on the Bay.

Nothing like some fresh baked bread for comfort.
For those of you that know Teri Conrad, Sebastopol is her home town. She grew up in this area. Teri is a Photo Jounalist and Editor of Accellerate Magazine.
Fruit and vegetable stand, also sells nice fresh cut local flowers. The yards are in full bloom around here.
This place had a large BBQ pit going, as well as other goodies. And WiFi!
Gravenstein Apples are in full fruit now. They are sold in stores, and many road side stands.
Stopped here to pick up some Apples for Pat and Alice.
This young lady helped pick these apples yesterday, now she's selling them while the others are out in the orchards picking more. They are extra good for pies and applesauce.

Don't know what they are selling, but this is sort of a variety Store.
Gravenstein Station. A fun place in Sebastopol.

All the grape vinyards are loaded this year. These nice vines are about a quarter mile from Richard's home. Pat's 100 year plus mother live there with him and his wife Alice.
So far, have been enjoying this bike. Not a real "road burner", but it's comfortable for an old guy.
Hard to believe Fall is already in the air. This tree is across the street from Richard's/
And this tree is just a couple houses down the street. I would have taken a picture of Richard's colorful tree, but he doesn't have one in front. :-)
