Nice ride today to Oatman and Hackberry. Put 146 miles total on "The Mother Road" today. Went with VROC members Ed and Carl Anderson from Kingman. A fine day! |
This girl got sprayed with the store owners water jug, she wanted in to smooze the customers. |
The Burro's liked the XT. |
Carl has a tummy full of Navajo Tacos! |
Most of the stores have unusual names. The run they are referring to here is the Laughlin Run that takes place this coming weekend. Three will be lots of bikes in town. |
I couldn't get Ed and Carl to stand behind the sign boards. Neither one wanted to be the girl. |
We're on the cutting edge. Already have one of these from Yuma. |
Will have to bring Julie here for a new sweater. |

This is a pretty long stretch of the Old Road |
Kingman is one of the larger cities still in operation on the Old Road. |
A new sign. Kingman is growing since a new wing was added to the Hospital, AND the bridge over lake Mead is finished, making it only about 1.5 hours to Las Vegas. |
A Landmark. Good place to eat. |
This is were we stay when we're in Kingman |

The owners son. They were out of Route 66 Rootbeer in the case, so he brought this one out for a picture |
A few changes, but mostly the same people here |
I've seen a similar picture of the Boulevard in many places. I've always liked this one the best |

My usual, since Romy had one of these a few years ago. Heavy fry bread topped with lots of ice cream, peaches and whipped cream..It's totally yummy. We didn't even stay for dessert! |
