Meadview, West Grand Canyon

22 April.  Kingman, AZ.  Early ride to the Gas & Grub for a cup of coffee and some gas for the day.

Back to Minnie, cleaning the dust off the bike, waiting for friends, Ed & Carl.

Red Lake.  It's usually dry this time of year.  Miles of fun!

Ed took this picture of me breaking some new ground.

Ed & Carl on their KLR 650 Kaws

We played for a while on the lake bed, then stopped to plan the rest of the day

Some Joshua Trees.  This grove is on the road to the West end of the Grand Canyon, and Lake Mead

Plowing through some "pucker brush"

A relief stop.  The trees are good for something

We had practice picking up a fallen 650!  Carl didn't get his side stand down far enough, so over it went!  No harm done.

Inside Rogers Market, just West of Meadview.  They go up here once a week to buy lottery tickets.

The people up here like to keep things "their way"

Rogers Market used to be a gas station back in the 1960's. Now it's the only store in the area.

Residents live in the desert and on un-named streets, so this is the central place where they get mail.
