22 April. Kingman, AZ. Early ride to the Gas & Grub for a cup of coffee and some gas for the day. |
Back to Minnie, cleaning the dust off the bike, waiting for friends, Ed & Carl. |
Red Lake. It's usually dry this time of year. Miles of fun! |
Ed took this picture of me breaking some new ground. |
Ed & Carl on their KLR 650 Kaws |
We played for a while on the lake bed, then stopped to plan the rest of the day |
Some Joshua Trees. This grove is on the road to the West end of the Grand Canyon, and Lake Mead |
Plowing through some "pucker brush" |
A relief stop. The trees are good for something |
We had practice picking up a fallen 650! Carl didn't get his side stand down far enough, so over it went! No harm done. |
Inside Rogers Market, just West of Meadview. They go up here once a week to buy lottery tickets. |
The people up here like to keep things "their way" |
Rogers Market used to be a gas station back in the 1960's. Now it's the only store in the area. |
Residents live in the desert and on un-named streets, so this is the central place where they get mail. |
