1st ES post

These 1st 4 pictures aren't ES related.  Couple days before I left on the "Road Trip"
This is the factory flames on the Honda 750 Aero that's for sale. Also selling the big Suzuki bergman scooter
This Shadow is like new.  Just turned 4000 easy miles.  No dings, or rust.  Never been outside over night, and has never been ridden in the rain.

A "Chuck" wagon.  Learned that it got the name from Charles Goodnight.  A notorious Cattle man, that moved thousands of head of cows from Texas to Kansas, on the Goodnight Trail.  He took good care of his men, and invented this way to feed them.  The Cook was second in pay only to the Trail Boss.

Flagstaff has colorful kitties.  This one is in front of the Performing Arts Center

On the Road.  In a 4 wheeled Honda.  I've been getting this shot for many years, in and on many different vehicles.  More 2 wheeled than 4. or 6. or more.

Sometimes open, sometimes not

The paint and interesting signs are a little worse for weather and wear.

Acord in an Accord

Placing my order for a Chili Rellano, Ala Carte.  El Modelo's in Albuquerque, NM.  This place has been a local favorite since 1929.

A large kitchen, The food is cooked to order, then a team assembles it all.  Everything is "to go", but you can eat it outside on several tables on the property.

It's always busy, but never much of a wait

Near Downtown

The Empty Grave.  In Groom, Texas, on the Panhandle

VERY large cross

A sobering place.  You have to be there to really experience this display.

Gas price at the Flying J at Morgan Road in Oklahoma City.  Close to where Pat and I lived for 5 years.

Stonegate Motel Eureka Springs.  The "Kaw Pasture" for the nexet week.

Inside the lobby.  The relatively new owners and Manager have done a very nice job, and are great hosts.

Back in Albuquerque. Out of order, but love this freshly dried Hatch Chilis

Where I had my first lunch in Eureka Springs.. This isn't New Mexico...but it filled me up.

One of the many Biker places down town

Full of old historic homes, and even the newer ones are constructed to look old.  There are more Bed and Breakfasts per capita in Eureka Springs than anywhere else in the US. At least that's what they advertise.

Many beautiful private homes too

Lots of interesting history here, was a popular place for Actors and Politicians back in tthe late 1800's

Need a Tattoo?

A Crescent theme tattoo, must be for the old Hotel here

A mural in one of the busy downtown parking lots

If you look close, you can see Humpty Dumpty sitting on the wall.  Waiting for a fall.

Here he is a little closer

spotted one of my favorite Birds

Totally a Tourist related small City.  Old town is full of very trendy shops that cater to visitors

No lack of food

Basin Park. Usually there are performances going on here.  A nice place to listen to many kinds of free music and entertainment

A damp Sunday morning, the town isn't as busy as usual

I believe this is where Zmean1 had her Bachelorette party the night before the Big Day a few years ago

No level ground.  Everything is built into the hill sides

A Secret place

A slight mist, and only 63 degrees.  Fall is in the air

Fine Dining

Get a room,,,a message and a steam bath

The water is is supposed to be magical.  I've drank a lot of it over the years, and it never did much for me.

Basin Spring. (I think)

Another usual spot for my pictures.  FIRST time with a cage instead of a bike

Pat would be interested in this.  She loves Thrift shops

Large Chickens are available

Sunday evening.  The rally officially starts Tuesday I think, but there  were 12 vroc'ers here for the evening meal. We usually get to the Rockin' Pig once. It's a Harley rider hangout.  Loud music, but the food is very good.

Yep.  It's started

Strawberry Pecan salad.  Same meal I've had here the last 3 years since it came on the menu.  A little smaller, but still delicious.  Got my Carbohydrate fix for the week.

Happy couple.  Brandon and Sheila

One of the waiters "photo bombed" just as I was ready to snap a picture

Some kind of an electronic Juke Box.  I wouldn't know how to use it, and KNOW there is nothing I'd want to hear anyway

The band stand. They usually have live music in here. Maybe not Sunday night

1st evening gathering.  I needed to bring warmer clothes.  It's FREEZING out there

Then end on the first day.  Happy birds
