17 June Boscobel vroc

Last day in Boscobel.  We visited the Depot Days

for a small town, they do a great job

Beautiful  Henry rifle being raffled off.  Drawing not until September.  Odds not real good

Several model railroads set up inside

This was the Boscobel switchboard used for many years

This one for Lucky Al

Civil War Rifle

McCarthy set up a special day and had a bunch of these pins made for a speech in boscobel.  No one showed up so he went to a bar and got very drunk.  He left the pins. Here are some of them.  He sort of went down hill after that.  Boscobel wasn't impressed with him :-)

Friendly clowns

This safe has been in the Depot for many years. No one know the combination, and no one has any idea of what may be inside.  At this time, they aren't in any hurry to have it opened.

This Train Station has been in business since 1852.  Over 2000 men (and boys) boarded the train here on the way to fight for the North in the Civil War

Willie Wonka's lite breakfast

We needed this table for the Kaw Pasture

The mayor was there and gave a good speech. He's a rider too.  He expressed appreciation from the City for 20 years of trouble free fun and donations to charities and the city by VROC.
