1-3 January 2015

Lanny took this.  We were parked on the Swastica Bridge,  near Mittry Lake and the Laguna Dam.  New Year's Day.

Susan in the DQ parking lot.  Later on New Years Day

Three bikes just fill up a small RV parking space.

They are smiling, but very disappointed.  Just found out that this Dairy Queen doesn't have "Hot Eats" anymore!  No Chili Dog for Susan!

Back Porch Bluegrass.  Really enjoyed this 6 piece group from Branson, Missouri.

They put on a great concert, with some comedy thrown in too.

The line to get out of Mexico today.  I didn't take any pictures down town.  Went to buy some eye drops, and to fill the car with gas. If you exchange for Pesos, and go to the local Pemex Station, it saves enough to buy me a nice lunch at Molcas Tacos.

A house.  The line was VERY long getting out.  I usually take the motorcycle, and get waved to the front of the line

Construction.  Today, the car line was the longest I've ever seen it.  Took 2 hours, 19 minutes from the end of the line to leaving the booth at the border.

Sometimes my phone works over here, it can pick up a signal from Yuma usually. Not so inside the car today. So, just took some random pictures

Some new construction, some remodels

There are a LOT of vendors working the car line.  This one is selling coconuts cut in half and filled with various fruits.  He even has a "drive up" window.

Dog Groomer

Lots of dogs wondering around

Gate Guards

For Rent

First day of rain for 2016.  The people are loving it, been VERY dry for a long time.  I wasn't real happy.

Lots of interesting lawn art made here

There are several of these factories here in Algodones.  People from all over come here to buy things to take North to resell.

This is a nice outside Restaurant, this is the first time I've seen it closed.  Rain!

Over 350 Dentists, as well as Specialists, Pharmacies and Laboratories to sell and make eye glasses

Saw a dozen or more dogs of all sizes

A mini-mart Pharmacy

Tamales and Corn on the Cob

One of many nice homes in Algodones

Coffee and ceramics

Love the Pink Flamingos

Portable Fireplugs for your puppy dog

Getting close to the end

The last corner to go around before the border crossing

Doctor Edna was the first Dentist we used when we first started coming to Mexico.  She is very well qualified, lots of credentials, and did a fine job.  She expanded and opened a new facility, and had to raise her prices.  We didn't remain loyal, although we understand her situation,  We now use Doctor Ana Marie, and are also very satisfied with her work.

A new rest and refreshment

Almost to the Border.  Will have to put the camera down, they have military wandering all around, and you aren't allowed to take pictures of them or the actual border crossing.  I KNOW this from experience :-)
Been a long wait.  If I couldn't ride the bike over here, I certainly wouldn't go as often!
