Jim & Katie's Mardi Gras Party

Friday the 13th.  Cactus on 3rd Street

DD and Pebbles just get in from a ride

Romy and Pat.

Getting ready for the Jim and Katie Annual Mardi Gras Party

Romy and Dave

Sherm and Dave.  Dave gets to be King because tomorrow is his Birthday

Katie and Jim made some awsome food

Zmean1 and the Badger

A young visitor dropped in from South Africa

Katie, the Mardi Gras Queen!

Susan has a hat in case of rain

Joe and Susan brought this tasty ice cream cake

Jim and Katie made a "sugar free" Key Lime pie.  YUM YUM

The Badger we all know and love. He's made annual and rally pins for VROC for many years, and has donated hundreds of bucks to the server fund.  Hmmmm, maybe we need a Sonoran vroc pin.  Probably wouldn't get a good price for just 9 members.  Now, if more of you would move out here........

Little did we know back in 08 when we were in their wedding party, in Coos Bay, OR, that's we'd all end up spending our winters in Yuma!

Sonoran VROC.  Missing Lanny. Sherm took the picture.

Who IS that masked lady!

They're looking for the parade to start

No one would know that's Katie

Still a few Grapefruit left in the park.  The Citrus is coming to the end of the season, but there's still some around

One of the homes For Sale here in the park.  This one is going for $4500.  There are some newer ones too, I think 4 or 5 more for sale right now.

Dave and Romy's little trailer home.

Canadian Vulcans

The sun is still out, but the party is starting

Last minute instructions

Red beans and rice, Cajun sausage and other stuff rice, white rice, Shrimp something, and I don't know what all. But...it ALL tasted VERY good!  Of course a couple gallons of Hurricanes didn't hurt either.  And wonderful desserts.

Romy and Katie

Nice hat, Kate!

Their car port was turned into the French Quarter.

Left over from Last year

The big Juke Box.  I got some Zydeco music going on my phone, and plugged it into Jim's Wing.  We were nice and didn't blast out the neighborhood.

visiting

The store room

This was next to the Humming bird feeder. The poor little guys didn't know what was going on.

Joe and Susan

Brother Coyote, howling at a Bourbon Street light

Dishin' 'er up.

Can't even explain how good this food was!

Nice mask

It got pretty quiet when the food came out

Dave is wishin' he was retired so he could do this every day

Hmmmm, how many more years of work?

Happy Lady

Nice Hat!

Katie is a wonderful cook

Nice looking Gold Wing, and has great sound system

Jim and Kate use artificial sweetener in this pie.  Some of us have to watch out carbs...it was as good as any I've ever tasted, even those with real sugar :-)

Turn out the lights, the party's over..............

A last howl

Awwweeeeee!!!   Marie Laveau!  She got out of the Swamp!

Glamour Queen!

Helen has been feeling neglected which the new Black Beauty came to live here

We all had a fine time

Zmean1 isn't always mean. Actually, she's pretty nice :-)

The boys, out checking the tire pressure

Joe and Jim

Almost time for us older ones to call it a night.  These youngsters will keep it going

Boogie time

Dave remembering the good old days when he had a nice new Gold Wing.

Neighbor Jerry is going camping in the dessert tomorrow. He came over for a visit

Jim and Katie, you did a perfect job of cooking and decorating.  Thanks for sharing your place with us.  Another very good time in Lynda Vista RV park!
