| Swastika Bridge. Built in 1907, over the Colorado River. It's near Laguna Dam, which was the first dam built on the Colorado for flood control. The Symbols have a lot of different meanings. In this case a good luck design. The bridge was built by the US Reclamation Service. The logo was used by Arizona Highway Service too for awhile. It had nothing to do with German Nazis. |
