Visited Dowdy's Rod Shop today.  Ed, Carl, Kenny, Thelma, Pat and I rode up to Dolan Springs.  We went to Roger's Market in Meadview first, then over Pierce Ferry Road to Dolan.  Lots of traffice on that road, tour busses on the way to Grand Canyon West and the Sky Walk.

Nice looking Ford!

Engine going into the Chevelle in the first picture.

1937 Hudson Terraplane Pickup.  Slightly modifies.  A real show stopper!

Dowdy will restore about anything.  Old toys, wagons, bicycles, etc.  He does ALL the work except upholstery.

Engine in the Hudson pickup.  Was in a top fueler in the 70's. Dynoed out at 1963 Horse Power!  Yes, that's NOT a mistake on the number.

Mrs, Dowdy designs and embroderies all sorts of clothing.  Worldwide business.

Slammer, if you see this, does anything look familiar?

1053/54 Corvette.  Serial number 11.  All original, even the paint. ONLY thing that didn't come with it is the tires.

Another Hudson truck Dowdy restored.  As far as he knows, there are only 12 of these licensed in the World.  He's owned 2 of them, and still has the orange one.

Cactus are just started to bloom out good.  Saw lots of them today.  Next week we're going on a cactus picture ride :-)

Waiting to be restored

All customer cars.  He has enough business to keep him busy for a long time

Fill 'er up with Ethel!

Stopped for a cold drink

Kenny.  About ready to get shot. :-)  This is a tourist trap where a lot of the tour busses stop for snacks.  Everything is "tourist" priced.

The guy wrapped in the rocks had lots of hair until the buzzard plucked it out :-(
