January 1, 2012

A pretty Hibiscus outside the church we went to this morning.  Jan 1st.

When we got home, I found Jim sound asleep soaking up some sun.  By the time I got the camera, Pita and Katie woke him up :-)  They are getting ready for a REAL ride, taking the Vulcan to Tucson this afternoon, about 250 miles one way.

Pat and I jumped on the scooter and rode to the Mexican Swap meet.  We ate some bacon wrapped hotdogs, then went to the large Arizona Swap meet, it was closed.

Julie is 13 years 6 months old.  She's testing the New Year Sunshine.

View from the recliner.  I'm posting these pictures on the blog.  Julie is helping.
Red Earth Casino, Salton Sea Beach, California. Jan 2nd.  Excellent ride!
Put in a little over 300 miles on the little scooter today.

Dale and Mario.  Putting in a Cement lawn in front of Jerry's trailer.
January 5th, 2012.  52 years ago, I was in the middle of the first week of a 13 long week Coast Guard Boot Camp.  On Government Island (now called Coast Guard Island) in San Fransisco Bay, between the Cities of Alameda and Oakland.  Today I just left a Tangelo orchard near the Mexican Border, with 2 grocery sacks (20 pounds) of fresh fruit I just picked .  Pat's juice supply for a couple of weeks.

Yuma flowers

These babies will knock your socks off!

Colorful Kale

Dale relaxing after a big dinner at the American Legion.  Music was by the Old time Fiddlers, and some soloists.  It was fun, but we all ate too much.

And an elephant caress you with his toes...........

Madison Street in Old Town.

Not sure if it's against the law to ride up here, but the view is nice, and the gate is easy to ride around :-)

Julie is a much more considerate appearing helper compared to Joe. Joe puts his nose on the mouse making it unusable. He is very jealous of computer time.
