Thursday in Solvang

This is right across the street from our motel.  The give us a coupon to have breakfast here.

This is part of the family that owns the Solvang Inn and Cottages

Alwasy good selections

Lanny is a Happy Camper

We had cheeses, rolls and a large pastry each.  and nice cream butter and Lingonberry jam.

Captain Donald can still snap up a good one!
The entrance to Neverland Ranch.  We were ran out of here a few years ago, but decided to try it again.  We snapped a few pictures before the gate guard came running.

Wompus heard it was still in operation.  He wanted to stay.

Ride instructions...herding cats?

I think this is the 8th time I've posted this picture in a blog.  Always think of Romy as soon as I see it.  I'm glad the Lavender Farm has left it in the gift shop.

A lot of the 18 year old plants have been taken out.  They reach maturity about this time and need to be replaced with younger plants.  The 2 year olds are starting to be productive.

Grapes and Lavender

Cranky under the giant live oak

Wompus buying something purple for Montene

Always have one of these.  Not sugar free, but it's my big splurge.

The Farm Dog

2nd Generation Farm Director.  He gave us a good explanation of their products.  The Still here is where all the oil is produced.

Listening to the lecture

Farm owner, Kasey and his fiance Kate

Group picture.  They wanted this for their web site

Along with the owner, and mother, and Dog.

Cold Springs Tavern.  An old Stagecoach stop.

A good lunch stop

Very rustic, but the food is good

Cranky asked permission to leave the table for a few minutes

Mike ordered a small Ham Sandwich.

The eye of the deer is on you

James rode the Catitude bike

A beautiful paint job. And she never got to ride it.

Food, gift items, and history flow out of this place

"Through these doors......"  There have been a lot of interesting people pass

Lanny brought this power house.  His Russell Day Long seat cost as much as some of my motorcycles.

We had a good group

Getting ready to head back down the hill

This jump was set up in a farm field

TV cameras, and Drones with cameras. and a large crew.

Lanny taking pictures of the cameras.  This was a drone table

Lots of professional equipment

The Edge of something

2 jumpers.  One positive, one negative.
VSP, Mike, and Kate were in Don's car.  They stayed a few minutes after we pulled out on the bikes, they witnessed the jump.  Bummer, we should have hung around.

Thick, fresh gravel in the parking lot of the Lavender Farm was a little tricky to maneuver in. But no mishaps.
This School is still an active 1-6 Elementary here in Ballard

The school is in the oldest neighborhood in the Santa Ynez Valley

In the Shade of the old Magnolia Tree!

AJ Spurs.  The Memorial Dinner for Cat.

A toast given by our Motel Manager.  He and his wife ride a Voyager.  They joined us for dinner. The Solvang Inn and Cottages is by far the best Kaw Pasture we have.  Not liking that this is the last year for the Rally here. (Unless someone steps up to take it over)

35 ounce Top Sirloin.  That's a big chunk of meat!

James, with the empty chair for Cat next to him.

Melanie (Trouble) couldn't eat it all.
