Wednesday sunny morning. VROC ladies. Shannon was off riding so she missed the picture. |
The parking lot at "Harry's on the Loop" |
I'm not a good customer. I've been in this place a number of times, but have never had anything to eat or drink. Just like the "stuff" in side :-) Coyote is checking his map or weather. :-) |
We had 10 bikes make the ride this morning |
Bluebonnets are everywhere. They line all the roads in this part of Texas |
It's hard to find a place to park 10 motorcycles. The flowers go all the way to the pavement in most places. |
Sisters.....Debbie and Vickie |
Lanny even cleaned his bike yesterday. Actually, a Tom Sawyer trick, He was showing us some cleaner he bought at a demo some place, so everyone had to give it a try. |
It's not hard to find Grandpa D in a crowd of bikes. That Yellow Wing does stand out. This is Cranky's first time to the Hill Country. He seems to be enjoying himself! |
Some kind of strange fungus in this giant Oak |
It's nice and warm today |
Another stop. We have to pass up the really good flower shots, because of no parking. |
Kathy (Agent 99) has a cool new Trike! |
The mighty KLR |
Wondering off through the bushes |
We couldn't have asked for a better day for a ride |
Mesquite and cactus..with a few flowers |
Cranky said he rode 2000 miles for this picture |
Destination was Cooper's BBQ in Llano, TX. A VROC tradition. |
We arrived after the lunch hour, so the selection is less than usual. But, they had what we wanted. |
A Jam session in Luckenbach. The man with the straw hat is Irish, over here visiting. He has a beautiful tenor voice. The lady was very good too. |
Had to take this one for Bill (Cranky) |
Kathy (Agent 99, and Donna (Blondy) |
Different camera shot |
Purple rider |
Those aren't rocks in the lot. There are hundreds of bottle caps in the dirt. |
Bill is having a fine time! |
Lanny snapping away |
This little store is loaded with fun stuff |
What a Fanny! |
Harry's is a fun place |
Beaver and Bones |
Getting ready to roll |
Boots and Bluebonnets |
Had to stop so everyone could get some pictures |
Lanny parked WAY in the back. He went off explorering |
Donna has a cool coat |
My best boot shot |
Good lookin' trike! |
Cranky is shedding some clothes. How many people wear sweat pants with chaps........ |
Kathy getting a flower shot. |
Crank again with a different camera. Bill, take which ever one of these you want. |
New growth |
Texas Wild Life |
Lots of tiny minnows in the clear water. Some up to 5 or 6 inches. They are quick! |
Mexican Sun Flowers. There are a lot of these this year |
All pretty flowers! |
The trike can go anywhere! |
Parking lot at Cooper's BBQ |
The Mesquite coals are shoveled out of these stoves with long handled shovels. Then wheeled into the big cooking pits as needed |
Since it was after 2 PM, there wasn't much of a waiting line |
This big deer is right across the street from Coopers. So far, he's managed to keep out of the cookers |
Big party coming up in Llano |
Pick your food, and they put it on your plate |
They weigh it inside, and charge accordingly |
The anticipation of eating is building |
Blondy's "six pack" abs |
Gypsy Chix...I like the Pink Flamingos on the porch |
Stonewall moved from Canada to Texas! |
You always know what time it is in Llano |
Cruising back to Fredericksburg |
Puffy clouds and a nice highway |
Entering another small town |
Another item Cranky can scratch off his Bucket List |
Blondy |
Pole Dancer |
Wild Rose |
Lanny is too tired to stand up |
He made it. Biglefti |
Annual picture. Same hat. Older. |
Leg crawl |
The Post Office closed in 1977. But has always been opened for fun. |
Stonewall asked me to see if I could find a Calgary patch. There are dozens of these in various nooks and crannys here in the store. This was one of the few Canadian ones I could find |
Coyote is looking too. We didn't find Gord's patch |
There are always some beautiful chickens in Luckenbach |
Bill, Lanny, and Cheryl |
I had to buy something in the bar. A 2 buck bottle of water. |
There is always a lot of "pickin' and singin' " going on is Luckenback |
I didn't post all the chicken pictures, but just had to add some I liked the best |
A nice couple |
I think I inherited my appreciation for pretty chickens from my mother. |
OK, only a couple more |
There were about 4 or 5 roosters, Simiar, but each a little different |
Some tall tails going on here |
The ladies look bored. But I know that were having fun |
I like this picture... |
This one, not so much :-) |
School and teacher's house |
Coyote's new ride. It's a real beauty! |
We ended the evening around a nice gas fire pit at the motel, No one stayed up too late, think we're all getting a little older. This was a really, really, good day. Made the trip out here worth it! |
