Oatman ride Oct 4th

A nice Fall ride today.  There are lots of activities going on in Kingman, but I felt the urge for a little ride over the Mountain.  This is Cold Springs store.

Oatman was busy, but not a lot of Burro's  in town today.

I was fortunate to get a great parking spot!

Dave and Romy like the Navajo bread desserts here.  A large plate size hot fry bread topped with vanilla ice cream. then peaches, then stacked high with whipped cream...

This engine made the whole building behind it shake when he backed in. Obviously very "built" with 4 inch loud mufflers.

Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spent their Honeymoon right here in this Hotel.  The room remains exactly as it was back then, but is no longer open to the public. We visited it several times before it was closed off from the rest of the Hotel

If you visited all the stores here, you would spend more than a day

Most have similar items, but there are some that specialize too

I stopped here for a memory. About 10 years ago, Preston, Karen, and I were on a bike trip. We stopped right here so I could check the M.A.P.    Just as we were leaving a big fat Roadrunner ran across the road.  Today, this friendly little Burro came up to see if I was carrying carrots or apples or hay pellets.

Since I didn't have anything for him to eat, he was going to show me what he thought.  I was able to get away before he did his thing :-)
