Arrived in Williamsburg!

Another rainy day.  Between Eureka Springs and Williamsburg, we had less than 30 minutes without rain.  Some extremely hard...

Rain stopped for just a very few minutes here.  Was pouring by the time we made a pit stop.

Lots of Subway's here, seems like every place we stopped

This is where we decided to by-pass Monticello, and head straight to Williamsburg.  We're a little behind schedule, and know it will be raining there anyway

Looks like an interesting store!

Anyone for an RC Cola and a Moon-Pie?  Or, how 'bout some Goo Goo Clusters...

No RC Cola, but a lot of Stewarts...good stuff

Stopped at another Cracker Barrel.  I wasn't hungry, so wandered around and took pictures.  I'll just post  a few of them here

The caravan.  By now, you know who they are :-)

Skid and Sandy

Malachi and Yvette

Lucky Al

Our last stop before the WWR in Williamsburg

Mile after mile of this.  Some strong winds and lots of lightning and thunder too.

Soaked to the bone getting unloaded

Not raining.....POURING!

If it doesn't get a lot better than this, the little Harley will stay right here

Not real cold, but REAL wet

Lucky Al and Grandpa D.

Julie came with her Dad, Trucker.  And Gary there behind here.  Canadians.

Travel-day 2 Sept

Abingdon, Virginia. Stopped to visit a Bank ATM.  It was so cool downtown, I thought we should all drive through the old part of town

Lots of old business buildings.  Interesting.....

Trying to find our way out of town, the Garmin took us on a strange route.  Skid barely made it around that corner

Narrow roads!

Through a few back yards, and we found our way back to a city street

Old Hardware store.  Still open.  I bet it has hardwood floors....

Tunnel...Nice because it wasn't raining inside
Been raining for 2 days

Monday evening we stayed in a Micromotel in Beakley, WV.  Skid unhooked the trailer and we all piled in to have dinner with Wrong Turn and KT.

Sandy riding on the console

My favorite Winter neighbors!!  So good to see Jim and Katie

Looked pretty grim on the outside, the the food in this place is outstanding!

This one's for Utemike

This and a small dinner salad was all I ate.   But I sure saw some good chow!

Besides ribs and the sides, Skid had this French Onion soup.  The best he ever tasted.

Wrong Turn's newest bike.  It's a beauty!

Katie, Jim, Mal, and in back-Skid, Yvette, Sandy and Lucky Al.  In the Wrong turn house.

Our Kids. :-)

First day on the road to Wiliamsburg

The last 10 days of my traveling activities can be found at http://esvroc12.blogspot.com

Early Sunday morning.  Jamey T and Pappy, they are about ready to ride out, we're all packed an loaded on the trailers too

Tour bus in the ditch on Highway 62 East of Berryville somewhere.  This was the first of two accidents we saw today, the second was just East of Nashville, and was much worse.  Happened right in front of us.

Welcome to Toad Suck

Do I look like Chuck Bert?  This would be a nice hat for Susan!

Behind a gas station in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Turned on the Smart Phone for the first time in 9 days.  A couple hundred notifications to delete, but nice to have the phone working again

Our caravan crossing the Mighty Mississippi

That's Joe and Yvette following Skid and Lucky Al.  Sandy and I are bringing up the rear.  We made it to Tennessee

Yvette, Tanner and Sandy in the Cracker Barrel last night,  We got in late, but go up early today :-)

We all enjoyed perusing the Gift Shop in Cracker Barrel last night.

I'm now in Cookeville, Tennessee, going on to West Virginia today, in the rain.  Left Arkansas yesterday, so will post the rain pictures of yesterday now, and will add travel and VROC pictures to this blog.
